Foreign visitors spent more money in Catalonia than anywhere else in Spain in 2019, a total of 21.3 billion euros, 21.3% of the total, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE). Revenues from international tourism in Catalonia increased 4.1% compared to 2018, and reached 19.3 million international visitors, most of whom were German and French.
